Bola is an Entrepreneur & Tech founder with a network of global strategic alliances, fueled by a vision to deliver landmark infrastructure projects across Africa. Following a career spanning about a decade in Banking, he pioneered a Fintech company, Eartholeum, which triggered the digital payment regulatory framework put in place by the Central Bank of Nigeria and served as a catalyst for the mobile payment revolution in the Nigerian Banking space through digital, mobile, and alternative channels.
Bola also founded ENL-NOVA, a company spearheading the digital transformation of the Building & Development Control, Planning Permission, and City Management processes for Lagos State, the 5th Largest economy in Africa and a Cosmopolitan home to about 26 million people.
With over 28 years of hands-on experience covering various functional areas of Banking and Finance, E-commerce, and International Business, in 2012, he founded First Global Commerce Solutions Inc. (FGCS), an Infrastructure & Technology Advisory & Investment firm out of Calgary, Alberta, which gave birth to First Metro Infrastructure Limited (FMIL), an integrated Infrastructure Company based in Lagos, Nigeria. FMIL emerged as Concessionaire for the Lagos Red Line Metro service, built to move 1.2 million people daily along the most densely populated commercial corridor of Lagos State, connecting commuters from Alagbado, through Iju, Agege, Oshodi, Yaba, Ebute Meta, Oyingbo, Ebute Ero, UBA, and Marina. He’s also collaborating with global EPC and Mobility Companies to execute audacious infrastructure projects across the South West to South Eastern Coastal region in Nigeria and in the Federal Capital City of Abuja.
He graduated with a BSc. in Finance from the University of Lagos in 1995 and two years later, completed the coursework for an MSc. in Economics at the same institution. He’s currently doing a joint Executive MBA at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York, and Queens University in Ontario, Canada.
